The Role of a Majority Vote in a Free Society IF the Founding Fathers who put together our Constitution HAD wanted a democracy for this country they would NOT have put in such "checks and balances" as the Electoral College (which checks against the majority) or the arduous amendment procedure, the Bill of Rights, and so on. They would have just let the majority decide. Asked what sort of government they had set up, Benjamin Franklin replied, "A Republic -- if you can keep it!" And, make no mistake, by "republic" they didn't mean merely a representative democracy. By no means of interpretation! They meant a government whose scope of authority was LEGALLY LIMITED by a device called a written CONSTITUTION. Jefferson said, let me hear no more about having trust and confidence in the men of government -- but rather BIND THEM DOWN BY THE CHAINS of the Constitution! In a democracy, in our current time period, we were voting for either Obama or McCain, which is intended to NOT limited the government, but make it bigger and impose MORE laws, more spending, more legislation or however way you want to put it. Our new president, much like Bush and those prior to Bush, will simply continue to IGNORE the Constitution. We are ignoring the republic, the limited form of gov't and supporting the majority rule, such as 51% or more voting for obama, over those who want McCain. So we are going to let the majority RULE all, which therefore, takes away the "free society". It leaves 49% of the people to still not be FREE (and technically, what most americans don't realize, through the brainwashing of the MEDIA, is that none of us, are realistically FREE, in the "land of the free". The majority, the 51% (which in my mind are uninformed on the truth or reality in this world, thanks to our media and only care about politics on popularity level) are going to allow the majority rule to go forward and that's not what our country was FOUNDED upon, you know the country EVERYBODY LOVES. Freedom, rights, liberties. Now, a few people get this. I'm talking 5-10% of americans, which is the INFORMED people. Those who actually understand America's issues! These people realize, it's not about 51% for obama over 49% McCain. Because we are a REPUBLIC. So we aren't voting for those two, were voting for the CONSTITUTION. What our country, really is! But we don't follow what our country really is, why? Ever since the American People were tricked and manipulated into signing the Federal Reserve Act in 1913, by Woodrow Wilson, which is the first biggest lie, we haven't been a Republic since. This Act handed all the power, the control over America's money supply over to the rich, elite, international bankers! The Rothschilds and the Rockefellers. These guys, with America's money, own all the TV corporations, they own the media and practically control all the OIL corporations. HOW LONG DO WE HAVE?
This is the most interesting thing I've read in a long time. The sad thing about it, you can see it coming.
I have always heard about this democracy countdown. It is interesting to see it in print. God help us, not that we deserve it.
How Long Do We Have?
About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh , had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

Democracy = Dictatorship.
Time has ran out already, before you know it, the North American Union (NAU) will be here (no more United States). It will start to shape up after Iran has been bombed (mostly likely in 2009 - stay tuned). And when the USD collapses, we'll create the new currency, the Amero. My advice - any money in your savings account, invest it into gold or silver!
The elite bankers will get their way, either by consent or by conquest. The motto is divide and conquer!

Most people just aren't informed. Many don't know the truth or reality on many things in order to make an "informed" decision. Lies, manipulation, fraud, all through our media and our gov't, dating as far back as 1913 at least.
The biggest lies or frauds in American history are:
1. Passing of the federal reserve act.
2. 9/11/2001 & The war on terror.
And then a lot of americans get sucked into their beliefs (beliefs from a sense of reality that has been manipulated and controlled to which the FED owns the media and benefits from dumbing down americans with illogical or false information) and many people, many Americans have ignorance, ignorance to being open to being wrong and learning!!
